This blue groove flat drill bit set from Irwin uses a patented design for the groove point and cutting edge. The cutting edges cut the timber 4 times faster than standard spade bits, without scraping. The parabolic scoop optimises control and the removal of wood chips.

These drill bits have an increased relief angle from 12° to 17°. The large shank is 152 mm in length and 10% larger in diameter for added durability. The grooved hex shank prevents slipping in the drill chuck or bit extension.

 

The blue groove auger drill bits set, featuring a ‘Tri-flute’ design, allows for faster chip ejection and its full screw tip ensures ease of use and pull through.

The cutting spurs produce clean holes with minimal break out and the tapered flute reduces binding. The drill bits are also heat treated for extra durability.

These stubby drill bits are 10cm (4in) long, making them ideal for drilling through joists or in enclosed areas. Suitable for holes up to 5cm (2in) deep.
